Something in the Wind captures a wild horse, caught in a quiet moment of alertness, ears pricked and head turned as if listening for something only the herd can sense.
Rich strokes of chestnut and rust build the windblown mane in fine, layered detail, while a soft turquoise wash behind keeps the focus entirely on the horse's watchful presence. The single visible eye holds a quiet intensity, the look of an animal standing guard, keeping a watchful eye over the herd.
Wild horses live free along the eastern slopes of the Rockies in Alberta, but their future is far from certain. Development, removal efforts and shrinking habitat continue to threaten their way of life. This piece was created to celebrate their wild spirit and resilience, and to honour the role they play within their herd, protecting one another in a landscape that is increasingly under pressure.

Rundle Reflected captures Mount Rundle on one of those perfect Banff days when the light is doing everything right and Vermilion Lake is so still it barely seems real.
A vivid blue sky filled with rolling white cloud stretches across the upper half of the painting, with Mount Rundle catching the sun in warm tones of rose and taupe against the deeper shadows of the surrounding peaks. Below, the lake mirrors everything above with quiet precision, the mountains, the clouds and the light, all held perfectly on the surface of the water.

I’m a Calgary-based watercolour artist with a lifelong love of art and a deep connection to the natural world. Though I've studied art and painted throughout my adult life, I began pursuing my art practice seriously in 2024 and it has become one of the most meaningful things I've ever done.
As an interior designer, I've always believed that art has the power to set the tone of a space, to make a room feel alive, grounded, and deeply personal. That belief shapes everything I create.
